findaport.com is now available!

Shipping Guides Ltd are pleased to announce the launch of findaport.com

- our new online port information resource for the maritime industry.

This comprehensive online resource amalgamates all the information found in our various print and electronic publications, including the highly respected Guide to Port Entry and Guide to Tanker Ports. Over 9,000 ports, harbours, cargo terminals, and tanker facilities worldwide are available, including over 4,700 port plans, terminal diagrams, photos and maps.

All our information is constantly researched, checked using only authenticated sources such as port authorities, agents and operators, and updated daily by our team of editors. Therefore, online subscribers of findaport.com can be safe in the knowledge that they are accessing the most up-to-date information available to us on the ports they visit.

Functionality

Findaport.com has been designed to enable easy access to the information that you require whilst maintaining its comprehensive nature. Port information is laid out in a logical sequence with contents headings providing quick access to the information that you need. These include a general description, pre-arrival requirements, max. size, safety and security, communications, berthing operations, cargo and shore facilities, regulations and other local information.

Many entries also benefit from reports of Actual Conditions Experienced (ACE Reports) at given ports and facilities. These invaluable reports (nearly 2,500 in total), supplied by shipmasters, officers and others at the front end of the maritime industry, provide a unique insight into the facilities and conditions encountered by fellow seafarers.

Searching

With both basic and advanced searching capabilities you can search using not only the name or country of the port, but also a geographical location, port facilities, cargo facilities or dry dock facilities. Further to this, the ability to save your searches and favourite ports on your own personal dashboard means you can tailor findaport.com to suit your personal port information needs.
